You may have heard the term a third dose or a booster shot for the COVID19 vaccine. To clarify, The CDC had already approved a third dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for people with moderately to severely compromised immune systems. This includes people who have received an organ transplant and are taking medication to suppress their immune system.
