Research, technology, treatment options, outcomes, and significant results are constant in the world of kidney disease. Dialysis and kidney transplantation have not always been available to those in need. If you do not know by now, you should know that dialysis does not mean the end of your life but the end of your kidney function on its own. Treatment options, such as in-center dialysis, home dialysis and of course, transplantation are commonly used treatment options.

The DPC Education Center went live on Instagram for a special event, hosted by Nancy Scott, a transplant recipient and the Education Project Manager of the DPC Education Center. If you missed the special event, watch now for a discussion with patients on their individual journeys with kidney disease.
Derek Powers, a dialysis patient; Al Brisbane, a transplant recipient and Christopher Richards, a dialysis patient: are three resilient patients who share their respective stories. Each of them discussed how kidney disease and dialysis have impacted lives, as well as the lessons they've learned as patients. Learn how patients can connect and live fruitful lives while on dialysis and after receiving a transplant. |
