Ketogenic diet: May be unsafe for people with kidney disease. For those only with diabetes, some believe that by generally increasing fat intake and decreasing refined carb intake, it may help control diabetes safely.
High Fiber Foods
Eating foods high in fiber will benefit kidney patients. You will find that they can help to:
- prevent constipation
- lower triglycerides
- lower cholesterol
- lower blood sugar for people with diabetes
You will need to choose high fiber foods that are lower in potassium and phosphorus. Below are some kidney-friendly high fiber foods:
